| The successful fox hunters |
Venue: Bonalba Golf & Spa
Today we had an excellent turn-out of 36 members which reminded us of the attendance figures in the “good old days” before we were struck by Covid.
Our new Captain introduced us to a new team game called “Fox Hunting” where teams of two were chasing the two foxes, this time Robert and Greta, and comparing their scores against the foxes. On this occasion, filling in of the scorecards was a bit cumbersome but this will be fine-tuned for the next hunt in April when new foxes will be selected at random, and also new teams.
There will be 5 more hunting games over the year and prizes for the 4 best overall players.
Just to reassure the future foxes, although fox hunting is mostly legal in Spain, as we are a British society and fox hunting is mostly illegal in the UK, we will go easy on you :)
Although it was a team game, the individual scores were also recorded and are qualifying for all Society competitions.
Next week we will be back to an individual competition, which will be the March Monthly Medal.
This week there were no prizes for the par 3 nearest the pin, but the 2’s were still rewarded with the customary golf ball:
