2022: Indiv. Stableford (16.2.)

Congratulations to all the winners

Venue:  Bonalba Golf & Spa

This Wednesday we played an Individual Stableford competition which qualified for all Society competitions but not for handicap adjustment.  However, please note that if you have a good result in non-qualifying handicap competitions and wish to have your handicap adjusted, you can ask Richard Davis to enter your card for handicap adjustment.

We had a good turn-out of 28 members and two guests and to cut down waiting time for the prize presentation, we were able to have two groups going off tee 10.

Looking at the scores, Division 2 stood out with some excellent results where two players recorded 41 points.  Santi had the better back 9 and therefore was declared the winner.

Enjoy your Champagne

Today we also had the presentation of the Winter Champagne Challenge sponsored by Stan Tarabula.  The results of this was as follows:

In Division 1 the champagne went to our new Captain, Robert Heyens with a magnificent 79 points.  Runner-up was Michael Davison with 57 points.

In Division 2 the champagne went to Peter van der Mee with 57 points.  Runner-up was Santi Hung with 53 points.

Next week we are looking forward to a team competition which is new to us.  It is called “Fox Hunting”.  This is based on Stableford points and will have individual prizes but is also an on-going competition with a total of 6 games.  More details will be given with the normal announcement of the Order of Play for Wednesday.
