2022: "Me Too" Stableford (9.3.)

Venue:  Bonalba Golf & Spa

This Wednesday we played an Individual Stableford competition with a twist.  It was called “Me Too” where, after your own drives, you could move your ball to any of the other players’ spots and take your second shot from there and then continue with your own game.  Everyone enjoyed this game which was more relaxed and produced some higher than normal scores.  Anyone who was in the team with Brian Hines, will have done very well on the par 3’s as he was nearest on 3 out of 4 holes.

This fun game was a non-qualifying event.

We had a good attendance of 29 members and 2 guests who, on this occasion, were part of the main competition.

Unfortunately, due to recent heavy rains, the course was still very wet which meant that buggies were only allowed on the paths.

Before the prize presentation, the Captain gave a big thank you to all the sponsors for their generosity, which helps to keep the Society going and which is very much appreciated by us all.

He announced that the new Society shirts are now ready to collect.  Being Captain, he was already wearing his and was modelling it at great applause.

He also announced that he will be organising a monthly lunch after the Monthly Medal competition which is on the first Wednesday of each month (see also the Provisional Calendar on the right).  The first meal with take place at Bonalba.

Finally, please remember that if you bring any guest players, you are liable to collect the guest fee of €5 p.p. to be paid to the Treasurer, Peter van der Mee.
