Today we played an Individual Stableford competition which qualified for handicap and all Society competition, and it was attended by 28 members and 1 guest. This was the first time we used live scoring via the “Golfdirecto” app which has a direct link to the Spanish Federation handicap system. The Captain nominated one person in each flight to enter their scores into their smartphones.
Looking at the results, it was a day where many of us had a good round of golf. Nearly 50% of all players recorded scores of 34 and more points, and the top results of the two Divisions with 40 and 38 were very impressive. Congratulations to everyone on the winners board and special congratulations to the two winners, John and Chris.
We were delighted to welcome Jeff Murten who, together with his wife Caroline, joined us after golf. Our very best wishes go with him for his continued recovery.
Also, it was good to see Jean-Jaques Lavergne playing again after a prolonged stay in France.
Please remember: Members who invite guests, should make sure that the guest fee of €5 is paid to the Captain Robert or Treasurer Peter van der Mee. There are still occasions when this is not happening.
