This Wednesday we had our Christmas Present competition where everybody gave a present worth around €10. The format of the competition was a two-man Texas Scramble playing off 20% of their combined handicap with a minimum of 6 drives each. There were 20 of us.
The winning pair would have first choice of the presents, followed by the runner up and so on.
Stan, in true Christmas spirit, sponsored the four nearest the pin with a bottle of cava.
The summary of today’s competition is as follows
Nearest the pin:
Hole 4 Santi Hung
Hole 8 Michael Davison
Hole 11 Helmut Treiber
Hole 14 Michael Davison
There was also a two by Santi who putted in on hole 4.
Christmas Present Competition:
Runner up with a net 66 off 10 hcp – Helmut Treiber and Santi Hung
1st place with a net 65 off 12 hcp – Ernst Stecher and Jan Boultbee
