Today 23 of us played a Team Game of combined Stableford scores. On par the 3’s all 4 scores counted, on the par 4’s the best three scores counted and on the par 5’s the two best scores counted, which gave a combined handicap of 108. So, congratulations to the winning and runner-up team who did extremely well.
As the winning team had a late cancellation, Santi, to his surprise and delight, was nominated as ghost.
To rub it in to all our members who are currently in snow-bound North Europe – we played in lovely warm and sunny weather.
After today’s prize giving we were treated to some cava to celebrate Jan Boultbee’s birthday. May you have many more happy years of golf, Jan!
Next week, we are looking forward to the Irish Day, sponsored by Jim and Kate Hurley, with many prizes and a lunch with an Irish theme afterwards.
