This Wednesday we played another team game. It was Pairs Texas Scramble. The pairs played with 30% of their combined playing handicap. Each player had a minimum of 5 drives, which did not put too much pressure on getting your drives in.
We had a total of 23 players, 22 members and one guest, so Luc Sienaert, Pascale Leroux and her guest played a 3-ball.
Congratulations to the winners, Brian and Wendy Wakely with a magnificent score of 44 points. Second and third place had equal points. Karen Cruickshank and Michael Davison were beaten on the back 9 and, although they were not in the main prizes, they were awarded “Bob’s Balls” for the Best Nine Holes, scoring 23 points.
Next week’s competition will be the September Medal and as with the previous Medal competitions, we are arranging a lunch after golf for anyone who wants to stay on.
