Venue:
Bonalba Golf & Spa, 14 November 2018
Today we played our Monthly Medal
competition. This was one week later
than normal, as the first Wednesday of
this month had been chosen by our Captain Greta to be her Captain’s Day.
As the stress of playing out on each hole was
getting to some of us, we missed the splendid half-way house from last week to
help set us up for the back 9.
We had an attendance of 34 members and 2 guests
and welcomed back our “swallows” the Hurley's and also Bob Crow, our sponsor of
the Two’s Club.
The weather was again kind to us, cloudy but
warm enough to play in tee-shirts. So,
not being restricted by numerous layers of clothing seemed to have helped some
players swing well and post some good results. The scores on top of the leaderboard were very close and some had to be determined on countback. Chris narrowly missed out on the prizes to Jan as she had played a
better back 9. And again, Moe beat Jan on the back 9 on countback. Richard, although very narrowly missing out on the back 6 to
James for second place, had the lowest gross score of only 80 shots. And the newly returned and rejuvenated Jim
Hurley was the winner today.
Well done to all of you!
