The team game this Wednesday was Stableford with a difference. It included an orange ball which had to be
played consecutively by each member of the team and which scored double points.
So the aim was to keep the orange ball in play and if one was lost, one further
orange ball could be used. The team who
returned with one or both orange balls received 2 or 5 bonus points.
There were 9 teams in total. Six of them returned with two orange balls
in tact, two teams returned with one ball and unfortunately one team lost both
balls.
Today our Captain decided to award a bottle of wine not to the first
three places but to mix it up a bit and give prizes to the first, fourth and sixth
place, to the delight of some and dismay of others.
There were some magnificent individual scores without counting the
doubles points. 8 players came in with
par scores and better and Luc Sienaert topped them with a fantastic 44 points.
One of the tee-times were taken up by two Singles Knockout matches. Jan Boultbee won against Santi Hung and Edi
Rogers won against John Garnett.
