Venue: Alicante Golf
After last week’s cancellation because of bad weather, this Wednesday we went ahead with the Away Day to Alicante, although the weather forecast was still for a lot of rain. Therefore, we still had a number of cancellations and only 15 members decided to take part. Luckily for the players, the rain held off for most of the round.
The format was Individual Stableford which did not qualify for handicap adjustments, but was a qualifier for the Society competitions. Special congratulations to Jan and Trish, the two winners who were playing better than par.
The prize presentation will be next week at Bonalba.
Next week we will play our Monthly Medal and it would be nice if as many players as possible would show off our new Society shirt.
There will be a lunch after the competition - see details in a separate post.
The Captain also reminded everyone that on 13 April we will play the first of two “Ryder Cup” games – Britain (Team Captain Jan) against the EU (Team Captain Greta). Robert is hoping for a good attendance for this special fun game with lots of entertainment planned.
